Knight is a former professional football player who played for the New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints. He is currently the safties assistant coach for the University of Southern California football team.

He was drafted in 1997 after playing college football for the University of Southern California.
